All
test numbers refer to the 2004 EFA series of dressage tests.
Entry fees are $26
($21 for GEC members) for each test, including the E.F.A. development levy. There is also a facility fee of $5 per rider.
Cheques should be
made payable to Glenbrae Equestrian Club.

To compete in Associate Competitions at
Glenbrae, riders must be members of either the EFA or the Glenbrae Equestrian
Club (GEC).
Rules for the competition are as for Associate
E. F. A. Competition.
Entries close ten days prior to the series date. Enclose
a stamped self-addressed envelope for return of the draw that will be posted to
competitors on the Monday prior to the event.
Phone or faxed
entries will not be accepted until payment is received.
Horses and riders
should be presented so as to do credit to the sport but plaiting of horses and
wearing of jackets is optional. HRCAV
uniform or equivalent is acceptable.
Prizes: Ribbons
and Saddle-Up gift vouchers are presented for first to sixth place in each
section. All place getters qualify for
the series final. Final winners in each
section will be presented with a Championship rug donated by Saddle-Up. Excellent second and third prizes are also
sponsored by Saddle-Up. Rosettes for first to sixth place in final.

of certain rights to sue' form each calendar year and theHorse event
participation declaration for each event.
Entries cannot be accepted if this is not done. ASA 3838:1998 helmets must be worn at all
levels at Glenbrae.

WAIVER, RIDING AGREEMENT and EXCLUSION OF CERTAIN RIGHTS TO SUE
WARNING:
Under the provisions of the Fair
Trading Act 1999 (Vic) several conditions are implied into contracts for the
supply of certain goods and services.
These conditions mean that the Centre named on this form is required to
ensure that the recreational services it supplies to you are:
·
rendered with due care
and skill; and
·
as fit for
the purpose for which they are commonly bought as it is reasonable to expect in
the circumstances; and
·
reasonably fit for
any particular purpose or might reasonably be expected to achieve any result
you have made known
to the Centre.
Under section 32N of the Fair Trading Act 1999, the
Centre is entitled to ask you to agree that these conditions do not apply to
you. If you sign this form, you will be
agreeing that your rights to sue the Centre under the Fair Trading Act 1999 if
you are killed or injured because the services were not rendered with due care
and skill or they were not reasonably fit for their purpose, are excluded,
restricted or modified in the way set out in this form
NOTE: The change to your rights, as set
out in this form, does not apply if your death or injury is due to gross
negligence on the Centres part.
"Gross negligence" is defined in the Fair Trading
(Recreational Services) Regulations 2004.
1. Horse
riding involves a significant degree of physical exertion and physical risk and
is undertaken for the purpose of recreation, enjoyment and leisure.
2. I
engage in horse riding entirely at my own risk and accept that horse riding is
a dangerous activity with many inherent risks.
3. I accept
that I am responsible for my own actions and the actions of those people in my
care and control.
4. A
reference to the Centre in this contract includes Glenbrae Equestrian Centre,
the operating company Jacques R. Pty Ltd and
the property owners B. and S. J. Hodgson and C. J. Le Bas de Plumetot,
directors, officers, employees, agents, successors and assigns.
5. The
services provided by the Centre are recreational services for the purposes of
the Fair Trading Act 1999 (Vic) and Trade Practices Act 1974
(Cwth).
6. The
Centre does not make any warranty concerning the nature, habits and disposition
of any horse supplied by it.
7. This riding agreement contract is for the
calendar year in which it is signed but will apply beyond this time unless revoked.
TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF RIDING
8. I will waive my rights
I will not bring any claim, demand, action or
suit against the Centre in relation to personal injury or death, and also any
loss, injury or damage I sustain as a direct or indirect result of horse riding
organised by the Centre. This waiver
applies irrespective of any liability, fault or negligence of the Centre.
I will only ride
the horse in a safe and controlled manner.
I will wear an
Australian Standard Approved helmet and the correct footwear at all times.
I will read and
follow all signs on the Centres property and follow all the Centres
instructions.
12. I will accept and pay for assistance
I consent to
being evacuated and to the provision of first aid and medical treatment if I am
injured or become ill.
I agree to pay
for any such evacuation or provision of first aid or medical treatment.
The Centre may
cancel my ride without refunding any fee if I do not comply with any of these
terms and conditions.

Horse Event Declaration Waiver
I understand that due to diseases such as equine influenza, the
Victorian Department of Primary Industries, or other State or Commonwealth
government body, may restrict or prevent the movement of horses, vehicles and
personnel for a period of time (Standstill). I acknowledge
and agree that a Standstill is a risk of attending a competition at Glenbrae
Equestrian Centre.
I acknowledge and agree that I will pay any costs or expenses
incurred by any person or
organisation
for or on behalf of my horse or as a result of a Standstill. In consideration of the EFAV and the Event
Committee accepting my application to participate in the Event, I, to the
extent permitted by law:
(a) release and will release EFAV, Glenbrae Equestrian Centre and
the Event Committee from all Claims that I may have or may have had but for
this release arising from or in connection with a Standstill and/or my
participation in the Event; and
(b) indemnify and will keep indemnified EFAV, Glenbrae Equestrian
Centre and the Event Committee in respect of any Claim by any person arising as
a result of or in connection with a Standstill and/or my participation in the
Event.
In this registration form, references to:
"Claim" means and includes any action, suit, proceeding,
claim, demand, damage, cost or expense however arising.
EFAV means Equestrian Federation of Australia (Vic) Branch Inc
and includes its directors, officers,
servants or
agents.
Event Committee means the organiser of the event, whether an
individual, unincorporated group, association or company, and, where the
context permits, includes their directors, officers, members, servants or
agents.
Glenbrae Equestrian Centre means the collection of entities
associated with the centre including but not limited to the operating company
Jacques R. Pty Ltd, the owners of the property B. and S. J. Hodgson and C. J.
Le Bas de Plumetot.
